Google’s new social network, Google+ was released today to a limited amount of people for a ‘field test’, the general response so far is for Facebook to start to worry.
With the increase in users leaving Facebook due to the social giant’s relentless disregard for their member’s privacy, Google may have launched their social network at the right time to capture these ‘escapees’ from the Facebook prison.
Now generally I am a fan of Facebook, I think it has revolutionized the way we interact with people, not only friends, but contacts all over the globe. Having said that, I have started to feel that due to Facebook’s monopoly over the social world, they have started to lack the bright ideas and creative thinking which made them what they are today.
Hopefully the added competition from Google+ will give Facebook a well deserved kick, and potentially encourage them to get back into their thinking.
