Burslem Stonemasons are granite worktops suppliers operating in Sussex.
Founded by Thomas Burslem in 1853 and incorporated in 1880 A Burslem and Son Ltd has been trading in and around the Tunbridge Wells area ever since. A recent move to a new showroom and workshop at Stubby Grove, Frant ensured the Company stays local to its origins despite the need for a modern workshop and greater space for stock storage.
Granite
Granite is an igneous rock formed millions of years ago that is derived from molten masses or magmas.
Thanks to its practical characteristics, a solid granite worktop will add quality and style to any kitchen. Its distinctive, highly polished surface will provide a durable and highly heat resistant surface, a quality unrivalled by wood, veneers and other man-made products.
o Granite is tough – as one of the hardest materials, it is far harder than marble
o Granite has a gloss finish, when polished, which is durable and lasts many years
o Granite is extremely dense and thus impervious to most liquids though densities vary from stone to stone.
o Granite is heat resistant
o Granite retains its colour
o Granite is ideal for many uses, such as fireplaces, wall and floor tiles, vanity tops and for outdoor applications as it withstands the most arduous of weather conditions.
Shown below are just a small selection of the many colours we have in stock. The granite comes in a number of different surface finishes, and there are literally hundreds of granites available for fabrication of kitchen surfaces from the ever popular premium black to “wild west green” and Azul Baracuda to Verde Uba Tuba. Visit our showroom to find out more.
Stone is a natural material and thus is subject to variation of both colour and marking and may be subject to vents, fissures and pits and is supplied only on this proviso.
