If you think of a brand as a person he/she would be an evangelizing pioneer that accepts and demands only the very best. A person is animate whilst a brand is an inanimate manifestation of all these positive aspects. It's got to work hard for you and we have the tools and experience to make sure it does - just that.
As consumers we come across brands very early and at it's most basic a brand starts life as a signature or a logotype. A logo is a graphic mark or symbol that represents an organization or group. Logos are visual marks intended to encourage immediate recognition of a product or service and the good things that go with it.
There are many very early examples of logos that represent organisations and groups, think of the Christian Cross or the Islamic crescent. In more recent times the McDonalds golden arches, Chanel, the Coca Cola hand written script, the Quaker Oats man, the Levi’s tag and the Twitter bird.
However, what makes a brand is more than just the visual identity or the trademark. A brand is everything about the soul of a group or organization; the promises it makes, the effectiveness of delivering those promises, the people it employs and the way they in turn treat each other and those with whom they come into contact. A brand is a pioneering confidant, totally committed series of beliefs and actions that are carried out more often than not with a customer or client in mind.
Great brands create great followings and great brands change and adapt but they are always leaders, trustworthy, innovative, customer focused – which means they listen and they are always unquestionably reliable.
Building your brand
Building a brand is an on going challenge that requires your organisation to emphasise its differences over so called competition. These differences are its brand values and they include amongst others product quality, product variety. sophistication, exclusivity etc. Emphasis of these KEY/CORE brand values gives your organisation its personality and it is this personality that existing customers are reminded of and reassured by and that prospective customers are intrigued by, find association and comfort with. Association and comfort breed and engender strong relationships. These relationships are manifested in acceptance, purchase and loyalty. With continued brand support purchase is naturally followed by repeat purchase and so on.

A Company’s brand values need to be identified. Without identification the process of relationship building can not begin. The Company’s brand values must be emphasised through advertising, not just key-moment tactical advertising but year round strategic advertising, press, poster, radio, web design web optimisation, email marketing and so on.
Once identified from 'so called' competitors The Company’s brand can be readily selected by the consumer as an option easily understood. Free from competitive 'noise' The Company and all it represents will be clearly visible.
Once selection has taken place The Company can begin to communicate, now to a captive audience, everything from product and service detail, to the most important - the features and benefits of a positively engineered relationship.
This clear communication leads to The Company being differentiated from all others. Once differentiation has been established The Company’s brand personality becomes clear and relationships are both formed and strengthened.
